Religion

Because I emphasize ‘Isa al Masih (pbuh) to such a great extent, I have been accused of trying to convert others.  That is not true.  I do not think he wants people to change their religion.  He does want to change peoples’ hearts.  ‘Isa (pbuh) was a spiritual teacher among the Jewish people.  Once, he was challenged by a Samaritan (considered religiously different than the Jews) to declare which was the best way to worship Allah – in the way of the Jews or the way of the Samaritans.  The response of ‘Isa (pbuh) is interesting, “But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such to be his worshippers. Allah is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.“ (Holy Injil, John 4:23,24, (al-kitab.org))  Samaritan.  Jew.  It doesn’t matter.  The group you belong to doesn’t matter.  Are you willing to worship Allah in spirit and in truth?  That’s what matters.

Scriptures

I draw heavily from the Taurat, Zabur, and Injil and consider them to be the authentic message of Allah to all of humanity.  My reasoning is simple:

  1. We have copies of the Taurat, Zabur, and Injil that are older than the time of the Prophet (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biblical_manuscript)
  2. The Qur’an affirms that these scriptures are true (Sura Maidah 5:68, Sura Yunus 10:94, Sura Al-an’am 6:115)

Since the Qur’an affirms the Taurat, Zabur, and Injil as reliable, we know that they were not corrupted at the time the Qur’an was given. Since we can prove that the copies we have today are the same as the copies we have from before the time of the Prophet, we know they have not been corrupted after the Qur’an was given. Therefore, we have confidence that the Taurat, Zabur, and Injil we have today are reliable copies of Allah’s message to humanity.   The suras that do hint at some corruption of the scriptures can all be understood as accusations against the people of that time for twisting the meaning of the scripture.  When a man twists the scriptures, that does not make the scriptures false.  It shows that the man is false.  May we all handle the scriptures with honesty, integrity, and humility!

The purpose of this site is to grow spiritually and experience the freedom that ‘Isa al Masih (pbuh) can give us from the power of evil.  I do make heavy use of the Taurat, Zabur, and Injil.  If you consider those scriptures to be corrupted or are uncomfortable reading them for any reason, please obey your conscience.  This site is not the right place for you.  I do not want to cause anybody to betray their own conscience.

If you do have sincere concerns about the trustworthiness of these scriptures.  I encourage you to visit some of the many web sites devoted to that topic.  That is the best place for you to seek truth and engage in conversations that will help you answer your questions.
